Can you get strep throat without your tonsils once a year?I know this is a tricky question,but I'm trying to prove my point. When I was around 4 maybe 3, I kept getting strep throat. The doctors said that if I got my tonsils taken out it would help. My mom and dad agreed that the doctors would take my tonsils out. Every year I get strep throat once a year. I'm having all the symptoms of Strep Throat, but my sister does not believe me. My mom tried to make me a doctors appt, but I can't get in until tomorrow. So True or False can you get Strep Throat without your tonsils once a year? My sister said "Its like getting Chicken Pox twice, it just doesn't happen"
Oh,and I do NOT self diagnosis this. My doctor usually does,but like I said I have an appt tomorrow.

You can indeed get strep throat without the tonsils, it is a strep infection not a tonsil infection, you cannot get tonsillitis without tonsils. I always wonder why there is so much confusion over this.
