Acute bacterial tonsillitis w/ sore gums?I have acute bacterial tonsillitis which i am treating w/ Amoxicillin (875 mg doses) and during this treatment part of my gums (the ones nearest to the infection) have become sore and inflamed. I am planning on going to the dentist but it's Saturday and i haven't made an appointment and i'm guessing this isn't exactly an emergency. Should i just wait for the antibiotics to do the work or do i probably need to go to the dentist ASAP to clean up part of the gum infection?

Finish taking the antibiotics and go in for the earliest available appointment.
