White bump on tonsil, no visible swelling, no fever?

Hi,I did the following:
White bump on tonsil, no visible swelling, no fever?Stuffy nose for 2 weeks
Dry cough off and on for 1 week
Sore throat BEGINNING TODAY and getting worse

Found (only one) white, pimple-looking bump on my right tonsil and hour ago.
I took my temperature- no fever.
There appears to be no swelling, but it hurts to swallow.

What could it be?
Every time my throat hurts and I get sick, I get REALLY sick (like only once every few years SICK).

Last time I had tonsilitis, but that was two years ago and I was much sicker. I think this may be the beginning of something bad.

Tomorrow is Sunday... so no doctors office for me tomorrow. What can I do to pull me through until Monday in case my throat gets worse.

Mel
Sorry sweetheart sounds like tonsillitis to me.

Until you are able to see a doctor, stay warm, drink plenty of fluids,4hrly aspirin or paracetamol to keep your temperature down and plenty of rest. If you have any cough linctus it will help soothe your raspy throat.

You must see doctor Monday though because you need antibiotics.

Hope you feel better soon.
