What's it like to get your tonsils taken out?I have had problems with them my whole life, im currently 17 years old and im sick of getting sore throats. I have pockets in my tonsils where food gets stuck and gurgling gets old. Recently I woke up and they were swollen and it freaked me out because i was afraid i was going to choke. I do not want that to happen so i want them out.
What's it like? will it change my voice? no more sore throats?

Just try to stop thinking of the fact there are going to be mounds of swollen flesh being grappled out of your tight, wet mouth.

I had my taken mine when I was 17, and there is nothing to, they put you sleep and when you wake up you can only eat ice cream. However, you should ask the doctor since they had found out when you have your tonsil out you get more allergy. No it will not change your voice I had wish it would change mine so I could sing he he. but not. You may have sore throats after for 2 or 3 day, but you would have sore throats once in while, not that bad, when you have a cold etc. I hope you get well and God bless you.
