What is the normal size tonsils should be?Every time I get sick and my throat hurts, I show people my tonsils and they freak out because apparently they're HUGE! I showed my school nurse the other day and I asked her to look at my ear too because I thought I had an ear infection, she looked and said there was a lot of pressure on this tube in me ear because of my tonsils...
My right tonsil is around, probably bigger, than the size of a quarter, is that too big? And should I get them taken out?

nowadays they don't really take tonsils out as much as they used too unless extreme cases.

my tonsils are the biggest tonsils i have ever seen, EVER. They are like the size of golf balls, im sorry that sounds gross lol. Dont get rid of em they are glands that your body uses 24/7, thank your tonsils for your good health!

right tonsils can be any size i know this because my mum has tonsils so small they cant really been seen that well whereas i have tonsils larger than your thumb nail.
its all fine, you should only get them taken out if you have persistent tonsilits, breathing troubles etc...

I would. when i was 8 i had strep 9 times and had the same type of tonsils as you seem to have. since i got mine out i haven't gotten strep and i feel a lot better all the time
