I have had enlarged lymphnodes and my tonsils have been so big that it is hard to swallow. I went to the doctor after a couple days and she put me on augmentin. On the ninth day of augmentin it has started to come back. What could be wrong??

You may need to go back to the doctor..pus on the tonsils or white patches means an infection..you may need another antibiotic to fight the infection..but make sure that you still complete your augmentin treatment. But you do need to return to the doctor.

Your Body is fighting off an Infection- and so far it's a fight to a "Draw". I'd go in to see the Doctor again on Tuesday -if you aren't getting any better by then... Keep taking those Meds...

you could have mono also known as epstein barr virus, or u could have a step throat but dont freak out it could also be something else ok.
