what did you eat after having you tonsils taken out?

Do you find what you need? Look here!
what did you eat after having you tonsils taken out?I am getting my tonsils taken out next Monday. What did you eat after you had them taken out? What shoud I avoid? How long do you think it was until you were able to eat normal again? When you were able to do minor physical activity like walking? I'll be up at the mountains the following week for Christmas and I was hoping I would be able to go tubing or snowboarding in the snow. Any other tips and suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

When I had mine taken out all i could eat was very soft foods like mashed potatoes, jello, pudding, ice cream, Popsicles, broth, etc nothing you have to chew. I even had to crush my pain pills into my food because every time you swallow it felt like i was swallowing razor blades! The horrible pain lasted about 4-5 days then i went to semi solid foods, baked potatoes macaroni n cheese etc. You can walk around all you want its just the swallowing part and you keep on doing it cause its irritating. I say you will be MIA for about a week.
