What are these white pieces on my tonsils?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them
What are these white pieces on my tonsils?I am 14 years old, female. There are these white rubbery things that are getting stuck on my tonsils, rather difficult to get off/out, a lot of coughing and swallowing... i was told that it is just hardened mucus.. but it is VERY annoying and consistent. it only happens on my right tonsil. Please help...
And also, How might i get rid of this?

infection
go to your doctor

My Perspective...
It's puss...it's hard because its exposed to air. But it indicates an infection of some sort. I get them all the time cuz my immune system is sh*t...I might not even feel sick but i'll cough one up every now and then

If its real bad and you feel sick then it DEFINANTLY is an infection. Your doc will give you an anti-biotic and it'll go away.

Its something that will be there your entire life at different points in your life. Its annoying, but its an indication of changes in your health...you body communicating to you when you may need medical attention. Your body does certain things for a reason

P.S. DONT PICK AT YOUR TONSILS...they will go away when they are ment to. They are trying to clear up an infection, if you are on antibiotics and the meds clear it up, the white things go away fast. If you dont then let them do what they are suppose to do and go away on their own. I have picked at them before but I stopped when I realized that i was hurting myself (my tonsils started to bleed)

Been there!
Have your parents take you to an ENT (eye, ears, nose and throat specialist). Best to find out what it really is. I've never heard of mucus hardening on the tonsils or anywhere else (except the nose).

It could be strep throat which is easily cured with an antibiotic. It could be yeast/fungal infection, also treatable with meds.

Not to scare you, but you never know if it could be the first sign of mouth cancer. Best to have it checked out as soon as possible.

Good luck, feel better and I hope this helps.
