Your throat is probably healed enough that it won't hurt you but just take a small sip to see if it hurts. If it does hurt but you want the taste, let some go flat as it's the carbonation that will burn and cause the pain.

It all depends upon how your throat feels - I couldn't eat or drink anything but Gatorade for about the first four weeks after I had my tonsils out as an adult.

Stick with non carbonated until your doctor is sure the healing is complete. The real problem with eating post tonsillectomy (besides pain) is the chance of dislodging the scab tissue on the healing incision sites. If the scab is torn off from food or force, you will see bleeding and need to call the doctor right away. That usually happens in the first 2-5 days, but you still need to be careful.
