Tonsil stones?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them
Tonsil stones?I hate tonsil stones on my right tonsil. I've been reading about them alot lately, and everyone says that once they get the stone things out they just come back.
Is there any way to prevent them?

Also, my tongue was really white and gross looking. Could that be from the tonsil stones?
that's supposed to say have not hate.

I get them on my right tonsil too! It is kind of scary to think that things are like IN THERE that you can't always see. I read somewhere that you can prevent it by gargling salt water but that sounds like it would taste awful. Listerine might do the trick.
And I think the white tongue just related to the general bacteia in your mouth and not necessarily the tonsil stones.
This is gross, but in the morning, if I see the tip of it on my tonsil, a mechanical pencil lead tip is the only thing that works for me to get it out. its actually mad satisfying...

I get them too, have been for the past few months unfortunately and I've been doing a lot of research.
Tonsil stones can be caused by our diet. Many people including myself have discovered cutting down on dairy products prevents the tonsil stones from recurring so frequently. I am a big fan of milk and cheese though.. so i keep slipping up! Just cutting down on the amount of yoghurt and cheese you eat can reduce the amount of tonsil stones you get.
Also, the white layer on the tongue if you scrape it off actually smells similar to the tonsil stones (gross i know). I've started scraping my tongue before brushing my teeth every night which has also helped.
Gargling salt water cleanses the tonsil stones and prevents them, but using any other non-alcohol mouthwash could also do the same trick.
