Tonsil Stones, with Sinus issues, Tonsillectomy or deal..?I'm 18 and have had sinus problems since i can remember. (Chronic sinusitis) Its nothing too serious, I just feel clogged all the time and get post nasal drip like no other. Its irritating but I can deal with it. My doctor prescribed a nasal steroid but I refuse to take steroids because of the side effects. Lately I've had a problem with tonsil stones as well, and that's not really bearable. I've had three in the past four days, and removing them does nothing. They just keep coming back. I actually have a really sore throat because of it .. I think that removing them actually makes the problem worse because of the openings that are left when I do so. I'm thinking of having my tonsils removed, but I wonder if this will help or hurt my sinus problem. I currently go to a pediatrician who refuses to negotiate the problem because I wont take the steroids. I'm going to switch to a family doctor soon anyways, but my question is should I go about having my tonsils removed or wait?

Yea I have been having this same problem lately. Whenever I remove one I look on the internet for answers and the main thing I hear is to get your tonsils removed, but I don't have the money to do so. I've tried everything. I brush, I gargle, I even used this mouthwash called BreathRX that I heard was suppose to work and nothing. I notice when I get them my ears seems to itch on whichever side the stone is on. One would always show on the right tonsil but today was the first time it showed on the left. For now all I can do is continue to pluck them out with a Qtip. The best solution may be to just get your tonsils removed.
