Swollen tonsils without a sore throat?

Do you find what you need? Look here!
Swollen tonsils without a sore throat?I had tonsillitis last year, complete with the sore throat, swollen tonsils, white spots on said swollen tonsils, and astoundingly loud snoring at night. Now it's back, without the sore throat this time. Is this still tonsillitis, or something new entirely? What can I do to reduce the swelling? Thanks :)

gargle with hot salt water, add lemon or honey if dsired

Suck on ice, eat some ice cream. Anything cold will sooth the pain and help with the swelling.

get your tonsils removed before they clog up your windpipe and you suffocate to death.

Gargle salt water, eat throat lozenges (they will reduce the swelling).

Lucky
salt and water mixed
wash your mouth with it

yeah hot water with salt usually works but it's nothing to worry about

If your troat is swelling it could be an allergic reaction to something you ate or medicine at that is very serious i never had tonsillitis so i dont know but you might be able to tell the difference but if it gets hard for you to swallow anything including your own spit then go to the hospital right away

Your tonsils are probably just fighting infection and are inflamed. If they get too red or start oozing or hurting, I would go see a doctor, but it is normal for them to continuously be fighting bacteria and become swolen.
