Sore throat, white bumps on tonsils? Please help? Please help me. I've had a sore throat for 6 days, along with flu-like symptoms on the first day I had it. The sickness went away but I've had a sore throat ever since. The pain is also radiating to my molars when I eat. I've noticed 2 little white bumps on my tonsil, and the same white bumps on the back of my throat. what could this be??

Tonsillitis would be my first guess, caused by whatever virus you originally had. You should see your doctor, he/she may do a rapid strep test or throat culture. If the tonsillitis is caused by strep, you'll need an antibiotic. If it's a result of a flu/cold virus, it will often go away on it's own with home remedy/treatment.

In the meantime, gargle with warm salt water every couple of hours. Tylenol will also help reduce the pain and swelling. Drink tea, plenty of other fluids, gargle, etc. and see how is goes for a day or two. If it doesn't improve see your doctor for those tests.

Every time I've had white spots on my throat it's been strep throat. See a doctor and get antibiotics.
