Pain on one side of the throat?

These are useful and collceted by kong!
Pain on one side of the throat?2 months ago more or less i had a white patch on one of my tonsils it soon dissapeared but following it came a really bad cold that i still had, coughing and stuffed nose. However while coughing my lungs out all night i woke up to find a searing pain in my left tonsil, not the one that had the patch. It hurts terribly when i swallow and even worse when i cough. Another thing is that it is not swollen! In fact it is looking 2x smaller then the one withot the pain, i almost thought it was gon until i used the flashlight to see that it looked really backed up against the side of my throught. Could that be the cause of the pain? because its in that position? I cant get it to move. Any experince with this? Thank you.

You do have a muscle under your chin that when it gets tight it also narrows the passageway in your throat. Push up under your chin, into the bottom of your tongue area, if that area is tight this is the problem, if it is pliable and you can push your finger into it a ways then this is not the problem. If you can't press your finger into it easily then this is what you have to do to release that muscle which will also open your throat some:
Chin Muscle:
Place your thumbs under your chin near the front and press up and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly raise your head until your neck is fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.
