My throat hurts, I keep coughing, I ache...what is this?I know, I know, many people are going to answer that it's the flu. But I don't really think its that. I have yellow spots on my tonsils, they are inflamed and the holes in them are huge.
I'm also wondering if it could be Mono or Strep. My body aches, but it isn't terrible. I also have been very weak, but not so much that I can't stand for a long period of time or anything.

Sounds like you have Tonsillitis. I've had that. You just need to go see the doc to confirm and obtain a prescription for it. You'll be fine. Get lots of rest and plenty of fluids. Your weakness and dizziness are due to dehydration. Since you're body is fighting the infection, you'll need more fluids. Popsicles helped me a lot more so then hot tea.

could be a common cold, but it could also be mono or step. ive had both before, mono when i was 10 and it didnt really affect me as much as others, i was just extremely tired all the time. and strep just absolutely sucks. you get the same symptoms as a cold but it just KILLS to swallow. it feels like your esophagus widened by like 10 cm. LOL and usually my tounge goes a kinda whitish/yellowy. go to your doctor, he'll give ya medication in it should be gone in about a week or two

Go to the doctor NOW. The yellow spots on your tonsils indicate infection. You probably need antibiotics. Your doctor can test to find the specific infection that is affecting you and prescribe the appropriate medicine.

Tonsilitis or strep. Both can cause spots on the tonsils (mucous). I would just go to the doctor so you can get treatment and get better faster.
