My left palatine tonsil has enlarged but I don't have a fever or feel pain. Why is my left tonsil bigger?

sketchy q gets a sketchy answer
could be anything from atypical unilateral mumps, mononucleosis, or any localized infection caught by the immune system in time or just starting and things might get worse. How do you know it is your left, palatine tonsil and not some tissue underneath it or around it?
With a symptom list like that if you were my patient, I d charge you double for being vague--HOWEVER, I'm not into beating up people who may be ill, so be sure you keep an eye on it and report back to my office in the morning
