Is it rare to have your tonsils grow back?

Is it rare to have your tonsils grow back?I had my tonsils grow back and want to know if this is rare?
i had a operation to get them removed.

i've never heard of that. but i threw up my tonsils while i had the chicken pox. it was terrible.

Mine did also it happens if they leave any tissue.

It is rare, but not unheard of. It mostly depends on the surgical technique that was used to remove the tonsils in the first place. If any part of the tonsil tissue is left behind, then one or both of your tonsils may partially regenerate.

Doctors used to perform what is called a subcapsular tonsillectomy, where the outermost part of the tonsil was left in place. This technique meant that having your tonsils out was not as painful, but tonsil regeneration was much more common (although still relatively rare) when this technique was the standard. Nowadays, most surgeons try to remove the entire tonsil, but it's always possible for them to make a mistake.

No it is not rare at all if they any tissue left they will grow back
