is it possible for tonsils to grow back?

is it possible for tonsils to grow back?i had a surgery to take them out when i was 8, i had 1 removed and 2 cut down. Im 15 now and i think they might have grown back. My throat always hurts, like every day, and i get sick A LOT and usually its got to do with my throat. This is really really bothering me and im really tired of it...
wat am i supposed to do? will i have to get surgery again or not?
any doctors out there?

They dont grow back. If the surgery was not quite successful you could have an infection, which could grow into a tumour causing your sickness.
Have it checked out by your doctor though. It could (in the early stages) be treated with medication. Surgery is always the last option

yes they do all the time and sometimes they done

have your doctor check IMMEDIATELY for adenoids. If you have that condition and it is left unchecked, it could block your air pipe and strangle you.

Yes, they are called tonsil tags....

I had a friend that had to have them removed as a child then again as an adult. They can grow back.

I have no first hand knowledge or experience with them growing back but I have heard of a few isolated cases. I had mine out 55 years ago and I haven't had a second's regret. Check it out with your family doctor.

If they are back and you want them out, it will take another surgery.

I had my tonsils removed when I was 5, they removed the adenoids as well, I'm 40 now and haven't had any problems. I'd check with your doctor, maybe you have strep throat or mono, a simple test is done for strep with a swab, blood tests are required for mono.

If your surgery was not done properly the first time, and there was enough of the tonsils left in place, then yes they can grow back. However, this is very RARE, but not totally unheard of. I would go get checked out by a good Ears ,Nose, and Throat physician and let them see what's up. It could be adenoids, although they are usually removed at the same time tonsils are. It's always better to just go to a good physician and let them tell you what the problem is. Good luck to you! Take care...
