i noticed a little white thing on my tonsil, what is it and how do you get rid of it?I have been having problems with my throat and today noticed a white scab on my tonsil, is it something serious or what is it and how did it get there??
i had a strep test done about a month ago and it came back fine, my throat has been bothering me for 4 months
due to possible allgeries, docs dont know

If you have been feeling tired then it could be mono. Otherwise you have a virus than needs attention. Typicaly these strains of viruses can be very contagious.

It is probably a plug of keratin in a tonsillar crypt. Not to worry.

It may be strep throat. I've had it a couple times and the back of my throat had white spots.

it is a sign of infection and the a preview to tonsillitis. chances are you have developed more by the time you read this. go to the doctor - you need antibiotics

It sounds like you could have strep throat, I would let a doctor look at it. If you are running a fever then you are contagious and need to be treated with antibiotics.Strep throat will look like cottage cheese on your tonsils and they will be red and swollen.

It is likely pus. Pus is mostly made up of dead white blood cells that fought a tough battle fighting germs and lost.
Try taking about 600mg of ibuprofen 3 times for a day with at least 8 oz of water each time for a day or two. If it doesn't go away after a couple of days, go see your doctor for antibiotics.
Ummm .. a month? Maybe time to go to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist.
