I have huge tonsils and I keep getting white things in them. I have ?surgery to get them removed on Friday and I am scared. I am 34 and have always had huge tonsils but just lately I have been getting a lot of white things in them. I keep picking them out but it just seems like one is stuck inside I cant get to it. I'm freaking out a bit. help :(

They are tonsil stones. Don't worry, others have the same problem.

I'm only 22 and still have my tonsils, and I get tonsillitis usually about once a year. Don't worry, once they come out, you shouldn't have that problem anymore. Enjoy eating ice cream and pudding for a little while! :)

HI i am 33 and i had the same problem quite a few times. Its basically a really bad case of tonsilitis. Unless you get them taken out it will continue to happen. My tonsills got that large in the end my airway was very restricted and i foundit hard to breathe. I had mine taken out when i was about 20 and it was one of the best things i have done. Unfortunatelyt i had to go back for a second surgery cos they didnt stitch me up properly but that was just a one off occurence and im sure it wont happen to you.
DOnt worry about picking the white puss, it will just come back again.

I have the same problem. I am 23 and since I was in my teens I have noticed that a few times a month I get these white "things" stuck in my tonsils. I pick them out and go on about my day. I did an internet search one time and I came up with tonsil stones as my own personal diagnosis. Google "Tonsil Stones" in the images section and see if those pictures look like what you get in your tonsils. It's not life threatening or anything, it's just annoying. No big deal, a lot of people have it I have noticed on Y!A.
Do a search on Y!A about it. something like white stuff in tonsils or something. there are a lot of ?'s on here about it. you're not alone.
