I have bacterial tonsillitis, will the white spots go on their own after I have used my course of antibiotics?Will I need to continue taking any medication to get rid of them?
If the other symptoms disappear and I finish my coarse of antibiotics will I still need to take anything to get rid of the spots or will they disappear without treatment?

Yes you need to continue with your course of medication fully and your infection will go away along with the spots. If you don't you risk the chance of getting a more serious infection and another round of medical treatment will be needed.

more then likely, most bacterial infections may go away by them self but because the infection is in the tonsils it could get worse if you do not continue taking an antibiotic or what ever medication you have been prescribed..

I assume you've seen your doctor about this and he has diagnosed you with this since you're taking antibiotics. The medication you're taking should combat the bacteria and those sores should eventually go away, if they don't you'll need to see your doctor again and discuss other options. if they stay infected or continually get infected, you may have to have them removed, which is a routine surgery.

they're from too much bacteria. drink bottled or boiled water.
clean out the refrigerator.

They might go away totally, or you may find them coming back after a few weeks or so.
I have this problem chronically, and the best thing to do (after your antibiotics) would be gargling with warm salt water at night (after brushing teeth and gargling with mouth wash) and in the morning. This will keep your throat nice and clean, and keep the bacteria at bay.

mostlikely you have strep throat (a bacterial infection in the throat), making ur tonsils red and swollen. Yo ushould have been given antibiotics and yes You need to take what is prescribed to you. do ont stop for the hell of it unless u are having an allergic reaction to it.
