Huge tonsils-- is that why he doesn't eat much?

Do you find what you need? Look here!
Huge tonsils-- is that why he doesn't eat much?My boyfriend got sick on like... Monday or so, just had a cough, nothing serious, but Friday his tonsils were huge. I can't even see my own tonsils-- that never happens to me. He says that they get white bumps when he gets strep throat, which is tonsillitis, right? But he says they're always that big. Supposedly they don't hurt, but he's never ever hungry. Could that be why? He says he's fine because his mom's a nurse and she "knows about that kind of thing." Should he see a doctor anyways?

YEs he should

His tonsills could not have shrunk when he was a teenager. When you get to the age of 10 or around then your tonsills shrink.

He may need to get them out if he keeps getting infections.

Mine didnt shrink and myne are HUGE. Getting mine out in 3 weeks.

I had to get my tonsils removed (im 15) becouse of the same problem your Boyfriend has.

He probably should, especially if he is losing weight because of his lack of appetite. Chronic infection can cause that. Tonsils do shrink over time for some people. Mine are still large and I am quite old.
