You could've gone swimming before now. Your throat is very vascular and mends fast because of the rich blood supply. I would indeed be surprised to hear you had any scabs left.

I had my tonsillectomy three days ago and they said they are very strict about swimming after a tonsillectomy. They said that you aren't allowed to swim until 3 weeks after your tonsillectomy.
