How can I prevent recurrent tonsillitis?What are the thing I must do to avoid recurrent tonsillitis? I wash my hands always and practice good hygiene but still I suffer from it. I dont want to have my tonsils out. pls help. thanks in advance.

Hm...you must be getting exposure somewhere...I've never had my tonsils out and never have problems with this...

if you have reccurent tonsillitis the only cure is a tonsillectomy. but good oral hygene will help. gargling warm saltwater also helps

I have this problem as well....it acts up a few times a year. The doctor told me I will eventually need to take my tonsils out when I feel as though I can't handle it anymore.
So I guess that is what you might have to do as well....

Other than having good hygiene ask you can ask your doctor about acupuncture.
World Health organization have recommended the use of acupuncture for acute tonsillitis condition.
