HIV/AIDS maybe? PLEASE HELP!?HIV/AIDS, Infection, Virus, TMJ?
Ok, I'm 19 years old. Me and my girlfriend has always had protected sex. We've been together for like 3 months, and had sex several times with a condom. Everything seemed to be fine, one day I gave her oral sex (for like 30 seconds)... and since then I developed two lymph nodes by my ear and another one on the top of my neck, both on the right side at the same time. They are kind of hard, maybe about a half of inch by little or less. I've been taking Doxycycl for about a day, and I'm not seeing any results. I am SO scared that it's AIDS or HIV. I'm scared to get tested. My girlfriend was diagnosed with HPV and had Cervical Cancer... but said that everything was fine. Can I get HIV by vaginal juices? I am soo scared. I need someone to calm me down.

I have been having diarrhea, but I've had it before we had oral sex.
and plus my med's cause it.

Other than that, I have no other symptoms really... I feel normal except for the lymph nodes.

What freaks me out is that the lymph nodes came at the same time... They really haven't increased in size or anything.. I'm just scared.. Really scared.

Someone please help me.. Could this be HIV/AIDS? or could it be another STD? or another type of disease?? Please help me...

I have also had alot of piercings... I had my tragus done... took it out.. and I had an industrial, and had that token out... still have a keiliod from where I took it out.. could that be possible to have lymph nodes by tragus and top of neck.

My girlfriend has also had tonsillitis, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.. My tonsils don't look swollen, but could that be a cause? We kiss and share drinks.

Another thing is that I believe I suffer from TMJ, my jaw also locks all the time.. could that be a cause? Some of my teeth are also sensetive to water, could that be possible?

I don't think it's HIV. If she had an STI wouldn't she have told you?!

You should really go to a doctor and get checked
Some of the things you mentioned can just be generally normal not much that some could say on yahoo would help
you should take medical advice only in this case consult your doctor

It could very possibly be another type of STD that your girlfriend had that was dormant.

But if your girlfriend has been tested and never gotten HIV then there is no was it can spontaneously be given to you.

Give the lumps a while to die down. If they don't at all, go to your doctor. The sooner you go, the easier it can be treated. Good luck ;)

any sort of viral infection (usually harmless ones, like flu) could cause your lymph nodes to be swollen. antibiotics like doxycyl (doxycycline) has no effect whatsoever on viruses and are only effective against bacteria
if none of your sexual contacts has HIV you can't get them

but you might get genital warts as your partner has the HPV (human papilloma virus) but it doesnt cause cancer in men, unlike in women. just harmless warts. and they're easily treatable

sorry but i dont know anything about sensitive teeth, but im quite sure it has nothing to do with the jaw

All right honey, the first thing you need to do is calm down. It is VERY VERY unlikely that you have AIDS/HIV. You contract this STD by genital to genital (intercourse) un protected and by open wounds touching another open wound. You cannot get it by "going down" on your girlfriend unless she was bleeding and you had a cut in your mouth or on your mouth. You use protection, so it is very, very unlikely. Below is a site that will give you some answers. It tells you what the symptoms of this STD are and how it is contracted. Calm down sweetie, because it is highly unlikely that you have AIDS/HIV. If you're unsure, even though it is scary, you can only be 100% sure by getting a blood test. Good luck and God Bless.
