Food stuck in my tonsils?Ohkay so,
Up until about a year & a half ago I've never had a problem with my breath. Then over the course of a few months my tonsils started swelling up and now they have really big crypts in them. But my breath stinks awfully now. And I know the smell comes from my tonsils because food rots in the crypts.
So I'm planning on getting a tonsilectomy, to hopefully stop my breath from stinking.
But my question is, can food get stuck anywhere else & rot, like your adenoids?

Food won't get stuck in your aesophagus unless it has or contain a bone that is pierced in it. Normally, large mass of food gets stuck because of fast eating without carefully digesting it through the tearing of the food by the teeth. This can be solved by simply drinking lots of liquids.
Now, if it is stuck, then that means that a bone fragment is embeded in your throat that needs medical treatment which I strongly recommend unless you want it to progress ino something more serious or a situation that can cost you more tomorrow than today. I suggest you get medical help today.
