Can tonsils really grow back?

Can tonsils really grow back?I used to get really bad tonsillitis and so I got them removed, but I keep getting sick, of course because they have been removed, but I'm told by people that they grow back... is that true?

yeah but it usually takes about 10 years for them to get back all the way

The person below is obviously NOT a doctor and has NO clue to which he/she is speaking.

They most certainly can, but thaty doesnt mean they will. SOme peoples stay gone forever. My boyfriend had his removed for sleep apneia in 2002 and they are growing back again. His brother and 2 male cousins had the same surgery ( family trait) and they are still fine. They all had their surgeries from 2000-2002. So just because they can does not mean they will. Hopefully you will be fine =)
