Acute Exudative Tonsillitis?I'm 15, and I've been having exudate pop out of my tonsils for the past 3 years. When it first started, the exudate was rather soft, but then it became hard, and it's been like that ever since. It comes out of both tonsils but my left one is EXTREMELY large (I'm talking maybe an inch or bigger) and it visibly holds a LOT of exudate; there are several holes in it (the biggest one being on the very top). Barely anything comes out of the right one though. My doctor says there's no need to worry but I'm a little concerned, since it's been happening for 3 years, and I'm relatively young!
I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the exudate: gargling, drinking water, the turkey baster, q-tips, antibiotics... every "solution" out there. And nothing has worked.
I've only caught strep once in the 3 years this has been happening, so I can't think of a reason why this is still going on. (I'm aware that food can get stuck in the "craters.")
Could this be Acute/Chronic exudative tonsillitis?
My doctors refuse to remove my tonsils, and that's what I really want at this point.

ifs its not painful there is nothing to worry about, i used to have chuncks pop out of my tonsils. its nothing to worry about, in order for them to remove your tonsils you have to have chronic tonsilitis, that interfears with swallowing and breathing and you have to get it atleast 5 times a year. and why would you want your tonsils taken out, they are a filter and in some cases help prevent some types of cancer.

if your current ENT isn't able to help, see another.
