What does it mean to have pus cells in your throat?

Hi,I did the following:
What does it mean to have pus cells in your throat?ive been having occasional sore throats with pus on my tonsils.. i recently went for a throat swab and they found pus cells present in my throat. the laboratorist says its nothing bad, should i be worried and why and how can i get rid of it?????

Dr. House
Yes you should. It means you probably have a chronical strep throat which eventually may cause-in later years- rheumatoid arthritis, a debilitating disease of the heart valves. How to get rid of it: tonsillectomy with lots of ice cream as a follow up. You can choose the flavor. All the best.

Jewel
Tonsillitis, have your tonsils removed.
