Sore throat and swollen left tonsil?

waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them
Sore throat and swollen left tonsil?I'm 16 and just today i started having a sore throat and i looked at my tonsils and noticed my left tonsil is a little swollen and it's red and it looks like it has white stuff coating it. Does this sound like anything?

You need some antibiotics as soon as possible. It could be strep throat or tonsilitus. Drink lots of fluids and chicken noodle soup. Hope you feel better.
