How long is tonsillitis contagious?My girlfriend was diagnosed with tonsillitis 3 days ago. She has been on antibiotics for 54 hours now. When is it safe to kiss her again, so that I do not catch it?
i know that the bacteria and/or virus is the actual contagious part. my question is whether or not I could get the bacteria and/or virus after 54 hours of antibiotics while kissing my girlfriend?

its the virus and or bacteria that is contagious. they cause your tonsils to be red and swollen (tonsillitis).
