are you allowed to swim at the beach if you have swollen tonsils?two days ago i had an itchy throat and last night both my tonsils swelled up and now i can hardly swollow my own saliva coz it hurts so much!! they are VERY red and very swollen and of course i can't eat or drink anything without feeling like sandpaper is grinding against my tonsils.
my problem is...i want to go to the beach today and i am unsure whether swimming will do me good or harm. can anyone help me?

if it's salt water it might actually help if you gargle it. but i would recommend doing that with table salt at home to avoid disease and getting better before going to the beach so you will be comfortable so you can have fun.
